Acid-resistant. pH-triggered.

The coating stays intact in stomach acid and only dissolves at the higher pH of the small intestine.

Enzymes, released where they're needed.

The gelatin capsule dissolves in the stomach, freeing thousands of coated micropellets that travel on to the duodenum.

Digestym Standard pack with two capsules showing the enzyme micropellets inside

01

Targeted delivery

The capsule dissolves in the stomach and releases the micropellets.

02

Easy to take

At 0.8 to 1.8 mm, the micropellets mix evenly with food, which helps if swallowing is difficult.

03

Smooth transit

Small pellets leave the stomach gradually with food, rather than all at once.

04

Released on site

In the duodenum, the enzymes are released to help break down fats, proteins and carbohydrates.

A targeted enzyme blend.

Lipase

Involved in the breakdown of fats during digestion.

Protease

Involved in the breakdown of proteins.

Amylase

Contributes to the breakdown of carbohydrates.

Hemicellulase

Involved in the breakdown of plant fibres found in fruit, vegetables and grains.

Questions, answered.

Why are the enzymes coated?

Pancreatic enzymes are broken down by stomach acid. The enteric coating stays intact at the low pH of the stomach and dissolves at the higher pH of the small intestine, so the enzymes arrive where digestion takes place.

What is pancreatin?

A mixture of digestive enzymes of porcine origin, containing lipase, amylase and protease. It is the same class of enzyme complex the pancreas produces.

Who is Digestym for?

Adults who want enzyme support with meals. One capsule with each meal, whatever you're eating. Not suitable if you're under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have a known medical condition, speak to a healthcare professional before use.

How do I take it?

Take one (1) capsule with each meal, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

What's the difference between Standard and Forte?

The enzyme strength. Standard provides Pancreatin 10,000 Ph. Eur. U; Forte provides Pancreatin 25,000 Ph. Eur. U. Both use the same enteric-coated micropellet delivery system.

What's in the capsule?

Enzyme-containing micropellets, plus polyethylene glycol (E1521), copolymer of methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate [1:1], talc (E553) and a gelatin capsule shell.

What does Ph. Eur. U mean?

European Pharmacopoeia Units, a standardised measure of enzyme activity rather than weight. It allows the activity in each capsule to be measured and compared consistently.

Why micropellets rather than a tablet?

At 0.8 to 1.8 mm the pellets mix evenly with food and leave the stomach gradually alongside it, rather than as a single mass.

Can I take it alongside other supplements?

Digestym contains no added vitamins or minerals. If you take prescribed medication or have a medical condition, speak to a healthcare professional before combining supplements.

How should I store it?

Store in the original package, at a temperature below 25°C. Keep out of reach and sight of children.

Stay in the loop.
